How to adjust the pressure of the back pressure valve

The back pressure valve operates through the elastic force of the built-in spring: when the system pressure is smaller than the set pressure, the diaphragm of the working valve blocks the pipeline under the action of the spring force; when the system pressure is greater than the set pressure, the diaphragm compresses the spring , the pipeline is connected, and the liquid passes through the back pressure valve. The structure of the back pressure valve is similar to that of the one-way valve, but the opening pressure is greater than that of the one-way valve, which is between 0.2 and 6 MPa. When the pipeline or equipment container pressure is unstable, the back pressure valve can maintain the required pressure of the pipeline. In addition, a siphon phenomenon often occurs at the outlet of the pump due to gravity or other effects. At this time, the back pressure valve can reduce the flow and pressure fluctuations caused by the siphon. For positive displacement pumps such as metering pumps, when working at low system pressures, overdelivery will occur. In order to prevent similar problems, the outlet of the metering pump must have a back pressure of at least 0.7 Bar, which is generally achieved by installing a back pressure valve at the outlet of the metering pump.

First, connect the back pressure valve and pump to the pipe, and install the pressure gauge on the inlet pipe of the back pressure valve; secondly, pull off the upper cover of the back pressure valve, and use a tool to turn the nut counterclockwise to the loosest position; Pipe valve, let the outlet of the back pressure valve be in the normal pressure state, then turn on the pump, and turn the back pressure valve nut clockwise and check the pressure gauge, and adjust to the required pressure value at the same time.

The back pressure valve works by spring force. By multiplying the metering capacity (ml) of each stroke of the metering pump by 26, the minimum volume (ml) of the pulse damper required to reduce pulsation by 90% can be obtained.

Pull off the top cover of the back pressure valve, and use a screwdriver or wrench to turn the adjusting nut counterclockwise to the loosest position (you can feel that the spring pressure is not used).
